had a fab stay at the mitre inn. really liked how close it was to the train station, made things super easy for me since i dont drive. the room was lovely and clean with a nice shower, and i appreciated the selection of teas n stuff in there. outside on the terrace, watching the birds was an amazing bonus! the staff were so friendly too, really made me feel at home.
only downside was that the breakfast wasn't served while i was there, and the check-out was a bit awkward since no one was around to say goodbye.

Wonderful welcome and comfy stay!
Had a blast here! The lady who checked us in was super friendly and let us drop our bags off early. It was a nice touch that really got things off to a great start. The room was cozy and clean, perfect for a chill night. The only bummer was the quite limited snack bar options.

I found the historical charm of the viaduct within a short stroll of just a few steps, and the nearby Mother Shipton's Cave added a delightful touch to my explorations in Knaresborough, truly making my stay memorable as I wandered through this picturesque town with its fascinating sights and characters.

Perfect getaway for couples
The staff were incredibly friendly, made us feel welcome. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, fresh, and so tasty, I could eat it every day.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but considering the experience, it was worth it.

My recent stay was enjoyable, particularly due to the cozy atmosphere and the lovely decor. I was attending a wedding nearby and appreciated how close the venue was, making it easy to get around. In particular, I loved sitting outside on the terrace, watching the nearby birds while unwinding after a busy day. I did miss having breakfast options during my stay. it would have been nice to have a hearty breakfast to start the day.

Just had to shout about the English muffins at Marigolds Café, top-notch! The Mitre itself is a fantastic spot with plush decor and all the comfy feels you need. Plus, the train station is a hop away, perfect for a jaunt to Harrogate or a wander to the riverside.
But can we have a chat about that brekkie? It’s a wee bit early and just an hour-long. Would love a proper cooked breakfast instead of the buffet option – I'm all in if it means more tasty choices after a late night at the pub.
